I`ve had a few chats with customers recently who missed out on securing a cake order, purely because they forgot.
And I was thinking of creating some kind of reminder system, most likely through email.
As a customer, would you appreciate a reminder system (sent out once a week) so you don`t forget to place your order - particularly for special event cake orders?
I`d love to hear your feedback on this!

But actually, just being yourself and documenting what you do, to show people who you are and how much you care about your business offerings, is a powerful way to connect with your audience and showcase your biz!
Some fun ways to share content:
1️⃣ Share a time-lapse of you creating your product
2️⃣ Create a BTS reel of a day in the life of your biz
3️⃣ Share a bit about your morning routine on stories so people can get to know you as the business owner
4️⃣ When writing captions, write how you speak! If you are the content, then you get to be 100% you! In all your adorable and quirky ways!
5️⃣ Share stories about your passion in your business. Show people how much you care about your biz offerings and how much you care about your clients/customers! You could tell them about the moment you decided to create a business, why you created your biz or what your first ever business day was like!
BE the content my loves. Your audience wants to see you, and get to know you so they can build a connection with you! 🧡
Spare cake alert!
I honestly don`t know how this happened but somehow I made an extra chocolate cake this week 😅😋
It`s 16cm in diameter with a slice yield of up to 22 square slices, baked chocolate layers with chocolate ganache layers.
Currently iced in choc buttercream with a caramel choc drizzle, can be styled with fresh flowers or `loaded` styling with cake pops etc!

Ok my loves... I have a HUGE announcement to share with you!
Two weeks ago, I made the biggest decision in the history of From the Wild... It`s such a bittersweet decision, but it feels like the right next step for me!
On Friday August 26th we will be making our LAST EVER delivery to all of our wholesale stockists.
YEP! We have decided to adjust our business model and move away from wholesaling to cafes.
This is a decision I have wrestled with for the better part of 3 years. It is something I`ve considered doing for a while now, but just wasn`t entirely ready to take the leap.
The truth is.. That while I LOVE the relationships we have built with our cafes, running a business that was predominantly focused on cranking cakes for wholesale was never my big dream.
I did it as a means to an end... A step forward in building our brand and building the foundations of our business. But along the way, I stayed in the safety of the wholesale rhythm. Constantly pushing other projects aside because of the energy and focus wholesale required of me and my team.
But as I continued to listen to my intuition in my biz decisions, and articulate my dreams to myself and those around me, I realised that wholesale no longer fits in the dreams and goals I have for my business moving forward.
It`s such a vulnerable thing to make a change like this, because I`ve only ever known our wholesale model in the entire life of our business (6.5 years to be precise!)
You`ll still be able to buy from us directly, with pick up and delivery options becoming more and more available statewide. I have some incredible projects in the works which I will be releasing SO SOON and you`re going to see us popping up at local monthly and seasonal markets which I am so pumped about because I`ve missed that face to face interaction with you all!
I want to say a HUGE thank you to all our stockists for selling our cakes and being such incredible supporters along the way. We love you all so much and we wouldn`t be where we are today without you!
